Level / Rank / Represent: National & World Cup SBX squad

Training sites:  Based in the Zillertal valley, Tirol, Austria during the Winter. North Wales during the summer.

Favourite venue: Avoriaz in France or Laax in Switzerland.

How did you get involved in the sport: I began skiing at Plas Y Brenin ski slope and went on holidays to the Alps before moving to Chamonix at the age of 8 with my family. I then joined the local snowboard club and started competing on weekends followed by a Team GB trial before moving back to the UK at the age of 14. I carried it on part time during my GCSE’s and A-levels with training camps and comps. Since finishing schooI, I train and compete full time living 6 months of the year away from home on snow.

Top tips for future stars: Surround yourself by other keen members who are keen to learn and progress. That way, you can egg each other on. Joining a club is a good starting point and will also keep the practice regular! Other board sports will have transferable skills for snowboarding and will be beneficial for when you can’t be on snow.

Other activities: Skateboarding, surfing, gymnastics, wild swimming, climbing & biking.

Aspirations: To keep pushing myself and have fun snowboarding! I’ve recently started on the World Tour so my aim is to get the results I need in order to qualify for the Winter Olympics. In the distant future, I hope to coach my own team. I would also like to get some outdoor quals, improve my surfing, travel, learn a new language.

Your idol: Eva Samkova. 2014 Olympic Champion. I love the way she rides because she looks so strong and has won some amazing races. She is also an all round cool athletic gal with a boho style.

Any thanks: My parents and family for being so supportive, my coaches and team mates over the years, CGM Unit Performance gym and Surf Snowdonia for getting me fit for winter!
