Favourite venue

Home in North Wales and Châtel, Haute Savoie, French Alps.

How did you get involved in the sport ?

Started on toy skis in our house then on family skiing holidays when I was 2. Started racing for fun when I was about 6 or 7.

Top tips for future stars

Work hard and play hard! Treat every training session like an important event but don't forget to enjoy yourself as well. I love to race but on days off I love to free ski just as much. Always remember to listen to and respect your coaches and helpers...you wont get very far without them! Finally, look after your body, you only get one...keep fit and flexible, eat and drink well and get plenty of rest and sleep.

Other activities

Most things outdoors really: Surfing, climbing, mountain biking, snowboarding, athletics, football, rugby, swimming. Badminton is good too and I'm learning to play the piano and guitar.

Aspirations

Stay fit, healthy and injury free and keep improving my technical skiing ability. When I get a bit bigger and heavier I hope to represent Britain at European and World Cup level and compete at the Winter Olympics...why not? Also to qualify as a French Ski School Instructor.

Your idol

3 really:

Bode Millar (skier) - amazing natural talent and a bit of a wild man

Ted Ligety (skier) - sheer technical brilliance and impossible, crazy angles!

Kelly Slater (surfer) - 11 World Titles...unbelievable - a force of nature!

Any thanks?
