Club review: Trefriw Walkers are Welcome

June 28 2018

The local community group in Trefriw meet regularly for various organised walks within the region.

The walking group is the lead organiser for the annual Trefriw Walking Festival and were awarded the Walkers are Welcome accreditation in Autumn 2014, an accolade given to towns and villages “with something special to offer walkers”. Trefriw is the only village in the Snowdonia National Park to have such status. Hence we are now Trefriw Walkers are Welcome.

The group is heavily involved with the festival with many of its volunteer walk leaders leading walk across the festival period and are also involved with all other administration needed from marketing and publicity, to fund-raising and maintaining the website, to dealing with insurance and undertaking risk assessments, and much more!!
