We work with the people of Wales to take up outdoor activities as a life-long pursuit. Together we change lives for good. From local clubs to the peaks of our mountains there’s a place for everyone.

Our projects develop the confidence, skills and team working that can provide the stepping stones to new opportunities and healthier lives. Through volunteering, education, participation, training and employment there’s a place for everyone to change for good.

To achieve an active, healthy and inclusive Wales, where outdoor recreation provides a common platform for participation, fun, achievement and employment which binds local communities, creating sustainable use and understanding of the environment.

To Improve opportunities for more people in Wales to achieve their potential through outdoor activities.

  1. Inspiring children and young people to be active in the outdoors in a sustainable way.
  2. Support the development of quality products in appropriate places to provide enjoyable outdoor experiences

Sport Freelancer Fund

A new Covid-19 support package opens this week for self-employed and freelance workers within the sport sector whose work directly delivers activities to participants, such as sports coaches, personal trainers, fitness instructors and dance instructors. Funding of £1,500 is on offer through the ‘Sport Freelancers Fund’, and applicants will need to demonstrate how they’ve lost at least that amount in income since the crisis began due to contracts being cancelled or restrictions halting their work.

Clwb Canwio Amlwch – Canoe Wales’ Club of the Year 2020

It was fantastic to learn recently that a couple of our members, Amlwch Canoe Club (ACC) and Colwyn Canoe Club, had been nominated for Canoe Wales’ prestigious Club of the Year Award, and it was even better to hear that Amlwch had actually won!! We spoke to Phil from Amlwch recently, as he looks back over his time at the club and how working with The Outdoor Partnership has helped the club develop

Clubs and Groups

Available to voluntary clubs and groups providing regular outdoor activity provision in communities within the area of benefit. There are three types of membership, Gold, Silver and Bronze.


Available to individuals who share the vision and mission of the Outdoor Partnership and would like to contribute towards the charity's work. Individual members have a vote at our AGM.


Available to organisations within the area of benefit that share the vision and mission of the Outdoor Partnership and can demonstrate a material contribution to the charity’s work.
