Clwb Padlo Dysynni recently became recipients of a community fund from their local supermarket Tesco.
The store in Aberystwyth opened voting in November, where shoppers were given tokens to vote between three projects in their community as part of Tesco’s Bags of Help project.
Tesco’s Bags of Help project has already delivered over £63 million to more than 20,000 projects across Britain. Tesco customers get the chance to vote for three different groups every time they shop. Every other month, when votes are collected, three groups in each of Tesco’s regions will be awarded funding.
Clwb Padlio Dysynni came at top of the votes recently and received £4000, which has been greatly received by the club.
Club Member Donna Maynard said ‘We were ecstatic that we were given the opportunity to be shortlisted, even more so that we have received the most votes. The money we have had will help towards equipment for the club.
Clwb Padlo Dysynni was one of the first clubs set up by the outdoor Partnership back in 2007, and has recently had a new lease of life by a number of new enthusiastic, and very experienced volunteers.
