This Girl’s Adventure

The Outdoor Partnership is excited to announce its new three year project to inspire more women and girls from across North Wales to participate in outdoor activities for health, social and economic reasons.

We will inspire women and girls to get active through social and friendly activity sessions including climbing, hill-walking, kayaking, canoeing, mountain biking, skiing, orienteering, sailing, surfing, surf-lifesaving, celtic long-boat rowing, open water swimming and fell and forest running/jogging.

These sessions will be fun, safe, enjoyable and accessible for all, delivered by qualified and experienced instructors and coaches.

The project was developed from our recent consultation carried out by Bangor University and Just Solutions. Research identified lack of opportunities in a variety of outdoor activities including introductory taster sessions, family sessions, skills development, women specific coaching sessions and fast-track type programmes. To increase participation among women and girls there is a need for improved links with local clubs, more volunteering opportunities, routes into further learning and training as well as sustained employment.

Get involved in the fun while gaining confidence, fitness and friends. Activities and opportunities will be advertised through our facebook group, join below.
